New Lancer want a turbo.

Just picked me up a new OZ Edition Lancer from Costa Mesa Mitsubishi today. Man I'm I can't beleive the car is so nice compare to my 99 Civic EX. Anyone in southern California turboed one of these car yet? I love the car very much but it doesn't have the ummpp like my old Honda with LS-Vtec motor swap. I heard some shop in LA already turbo these cars. Anyone know the name? I have a crap load of cash ($8000) to spend on a turbo system and some since my divorce . Any info greatly appreciate.

Turbos avaiable:

www.roadracemotorsports.com . . . talk to Rob about details

www.rpw.com.au
this i think is their basic turbo kit

(A) RPW Custom turbo manifold
(B) Garret GT-28 Ball bearing turbo rated to 350hp
(C) Proper shielded oil return and feed hoses with rose joints, swivel based and using brass fittings
(D) Brass water fittings
(E) Slimline thermo fans
(F) Turbosmart blow off valve
(G) Dump pipe from turbo to cat converter
(H) Modified stock injectors for greater fuel flow
(I) Rising fuel pressure regulator

Which part of Irvine you live in? I'm actually in Lake Forest. Any word on Boni car? I read the post somewhere else here but haven't found any replies about dyno number and reliabilty issues.

Wow that's nice to hear. So what kind of info I can get before I call Rob so I don't sound like a complete idiot? What size the pipings? Turbo make? Manifold? Exhaust? Fuel system?
I once had a GReddy turbo kit on my Honda before, it was ok. Untill the turbo actuator died and the rod decided to make a u-turn out into the turbo and killing everything including the head. Hence I switched over to LS-VTEC. All motor was more reliable I think. I just want the latest scoop on Rob's turbo kit before I plop some money down. I don't want to spend again if the turbo kit is not all that. Just gonna throw some money down and "say here is my car, make it fast". When I had the Honda I spent thousand and thousand of dollars at Dynamic Autosport since they are the Honda expert. But plopping money down and spending a total of 20 grand on a 6 thousand dollar car gets alittle old I think. Any more info guys?

Fred<-- so far you guys are alot better than clubsi.com

Moving to n00bville and RPW as of yet does not guarantee their turbos will fit just yet. As for the Road Race turbo, Road Race are DSM gods and they seem to be treating the Lancer with the same sort of care. A very reputable shop.

Hehehe...as for Club Si, they're an "interesting" bunch
