I have some doubts about the choices to do a Ecu tunning in this car. Openport 2.0 can reflash the stock Evo 6 ECU, but some guys uses a Evo 7 or Evo 8 ECU.

So my question is, Are there any advantages by swapping the stock Evo 6 ECU by a Evo 7-8 one?

What do you recommend?

Yes you can use a 8 USDM ECU on a 6, but you may need to also swap pins 8 & 22 over, as well as the AC/Cooling fans.

You can have the standard VI one remapped. If fit one from a VIII you can have extra features running with tephra mod.
