acronyms abbreviations and definitions

Many poeple can go on and on talking in acronyms, but for everyone that can there are 10 that are going "what is she/he talking about?"

please add to this freely with AUTOMOTIVE ACRONYMS and ABBRVIATIONS and DEFINITIONS.


DSM - Diamond Star Motors - corperate combination of Dodge/Mitsubishi and Eagle

JDM - Japanese Domestic Market

NA - naturally aspirated

DOHC - double over head camshft (s- would be single)

PWR - power to weight ratio

R/LHD - right or left hand drive
