You want to build the car before you even get used to stock power? Seems a bit much in my opinion. There is no need in going to a 2.3l or a HTA35 for that kind of power, many people are over the 400whp on stock turbo with e85. Also I would pick a better set of cams such as the GSC s2, the HKS cams do not make nearly the same power. I would do some more reading so you can actually have all the supporting mods you need for a monster car such as what you're dreaming to build and actually drive the car at stock power levels so the car will survive.

I'm new to the site as well, and new to owning a evo, but anyone knows you can make over 400 on stock turbo, +boost, IM, TB, Exhaust, and cams.....Kelford makes nasty cams for the Evo Good luck Travis and welcome to the site

Our local tuner made 400+ torque on a stock motor - stock turbo, stock intercooler, stock everything with E85 and set the world record for fastest stock motor Evo with a 10.2 1/4 mile. These things can get mad power, just have fun with it the way it is! I've had mine for a month and besides a few cosmetics this thing is stock as can be and I absolutely love it!
Welcome to world of the Evo!

Well your going to want a clutch, fuel injectors, headstuds, intercooler piping, ect, ect. Little things add up.

Always nice to have another evo in town though!

I would leave the car stock it is waaaay too expensive to fix and maintain personally. Its less headaches though that is whhy I choose not to over do it.
