Hola everyone, I have recently decided that I am going to do everything I can to acquire an Evo 8 or 9. I have been rigorously reading up and learning all I can about them to familiarize myself with the car and the community. I come from a background of a lot of cars, from slow Honda junk to my "should be" 10sec GTP. My first car was an SVT focus (worst decision I've ever made) then to an s2000, then to a DSM twice, then to couple random turbo cars, to my current 2 GTP's which are both turbo'd. Which on that topic explains my SN. I started out in the forum community as "12.99someday" with my gtp, I then ran 12's, changed it to "11secsomeday" and then ran 11's, and have pretty much given up on my quest to 10's due to going through 2 motors in the matter of months. One from faulty head gaskets, and the other was just a junk motor that spun a bearing in 300miles. I'm tired of replacing stuff and have nowhere to do it so I decided to put my GTP up for sale. I have a buyer, and am on the pursuit to find myself an evo. I do own 2 turbo GTP's, the one I am selling is a crazy heads/cam/T67 good for low 10's, the other is completely stock+turbo. I will be hanging on to that car as it has been my daily for 3 years now, has never failed me, and I am pretty attached to it.

So enough about my slow junk, here's why i joined. Unfortunately I see a lot of evo's take the drag racing route, which is awesome, but I plan on taking the road racing route myself. I am looking for a stock evo 8 or 9, of VERY lightly modded. Would love for it to be the in Illinois area, but I'll figure something out if I find one further away. So if anyone has anything LMK! I plan on asking a crap load of questions (i'll search first, don't worry) and learning as much as I can about these cars and what people hate/love etc. Thanks in advance for all the questions you all will be answering for me!
