New member from NC, that's looking into some Evos!

Hey there! My name is SPC A. Houk. I live in the beautiful Asheville area of NC, and am currently looking for an Evo. My buddies at the unit had me at a crossroads between the WRX STi, or a Lancer Evolution. Having looked at some reviews for both, I've decided on the Evo! I've looked around some local dealerships for a decently priced used one, and found this.

I'm not sure if this is a VII or VIII, as obviously I'm new to the series, and two, there are no badges on it. My primary question being, is this a little too much, or right where it needs to be with pricing on one of these? They have a couple more to choose from, but obviously I would like something AWD with low miles. I haven't got a chance to go down the mountain to look at them personally, but I've called them a couple times and spoke to the dealer about them, and he says they are great cars (big surprise), but I would like some secondary opinions.

Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate all the feedback you can give to this mechanically inept buyer!

Austin!

That would be a Tarmac Black Evo VIII or "8". It appers to be stock as stated unless you count the headunit. 21g's is a tidbit high though, I have a 2005 Evo 8 MR Edition and I paid 19k for it with 41k on the odometer. See if you can talk him down in price and take it for a test drive. And if your unsure about the mechanical aspecs of the car take a friend thats mechanically inclined with you. But none the less welcome to EvoM and great choice on picking the Evo as your next vehicle of purchase
