Question regarding intake

I heard from someone that it would be better to put short ram intake over cold air intake in SoCal area since it's too hot....

Well, got a few things to consider, don't know much about the too hot deal, but I do know a cold air intake is more likely to suck up water when it rains. A short ram is a lot less likely to do so and I see it as much safer.

I dont think there is no real reason aside from setting the Maf sensor over through a tune. Just about anything that you do to the car you have to get a tune for or it will default to a different map since there is a different modification for it so it has to be readajusted.
