Talking Newbie with an import Q...

Hey all, never been here before, but was looking for some info on Lancer Evo's in the US and found this place. Got a couple of questions that I would like to ask. I read a bunch of stuff about the rumours of the Evo VIII being launched in the US next year instead of the Evo VII, but couldn't see any dates (definite or otherwise) for the launch
My main question is this:
I currently live in the UK, and am moving to the US next year, June '03, and want an Evo VII preferably. So, I was wondering how hard it would be to import a UK Evo VII to the US, or whether there are companies in the US that do imports for you. Or, whether I wait for the Evo VII to be launched. Originally I read (a few months ago) that the VII would be launched in Jan '03, so I thought it would all be cool and I would be able to buy one when I get there. But now the VIII rumours I am not so sure

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Ok, I've pretty much answered most of my own questions now, about dates aetc, and I had a quick look at the one of the ads on this site for an importer. But has anyone had any experience using www.evolutionimports.net ? Or has anyone imported one themselves and modified it to make it street legal in the US?

I work at a mitsubishi machanic shop and they are comming out with them in the spring with awd, 250hp, bodykit, 0-60 in 4.3s, and for just under 30,000 bucks WOOT but honestly I would still buy the lancer OZ and take the cheep insurance and throw a turbo kit on it.
