Hello!

Hi Everybody,

I just registered at this forum, but I got my 2003 evo back in January/February. I really like driving it, but there's so many problems.

It's my first manual car, so I don't abuse it, but today my clutch started vibrating when I let it out, or when I slightly push it in. I've looked at some of the threads here, but I am very noob and don't do these repairs myself, so it's a little hard to understand.

Could this be a sign of a slipping clutch?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

if your getting clutch 'shudder' when you let it out from say a stop light. Its probably a little warped. Mine started doing that after a few to many runs down the dragstrip. I'm still on the stock clutch. Some aftermarket clutches do that out of the box.

If you want to see if its slipping, put it in top gear and floor it on the highway around 3k rpms. If the rpms shoot up then its toast.

Take care of it before it gets worst. My evo is at the shop right now getting a new clutch/SS lower clutch line resurfaced fly wheel and shifter cable bushings. So my advice is find a shop around you to look at it or another member before things get worst.

When it started to happen, it was fine on the highway, don't think RPM shot up. I might try it out again today. But I will definitely take it to get checked out.
Thanks a lot guys
