2011 Lotus Evora S - Around $60K, caveat...rear-wheel drive but I think it fits right in between the GTR and Evo X, performance wise.

I would agree with this though..

335XI, 6 speed with an intake and exhaust and flash will make 350WHP or so, i know a guy whos got one, that romps on stuff all the time, but looks like an "innocent" bmw

usually nothing.. Someone that buys an Evo X and wants a GTR would likely not want to own much that's in between. Especially new cars. A step-up is more like a step-sideways when going with BMW, Audi, etc.... your switching form something more purpose built to a luxory vehicle that has a side of performance.

I am beginning to notice the same thing. The evo is so much bang for the buck I wouldn't be satisfied with spending $50k -$60k and getting a car that is just a lateral move. I love the 93 - 97 supra but I was more looking for a new car. Guess I better keep saving for the gtr by then it will be discontinued or a hybrid.
