Whoooo!! So excited..

Whats up peeps.. Names Chris (obviously) as you can see by my SN

Just picked up my Evo8 today.. She needs some TLC but for the price i paid (13k) cant complain..

Shes an 05 MR edition DSG i believe.. She got 46k original miles.. Couple upgrades not to sure yet.. I see both a MBC, an EBC.. Some kinda exhaust.. battery relocate, sway bars etc... Gonna look into it some more prob tomorrow or in a few days. She has some minor rear quarter panel damage but nothing too bad.. Easy fix..


She starts but does not go into gear.. The owner said it was stuck in 3rd, an as i felt the shifter.. I believe it to be the linkage.. Gonna replace that, change all fluids, replace plugs.. An see what shes got.. I also already had an AEM Truboost, an Wideband from my last project (Turbo SVT Focus) so that will be going on aswell..

Anything more i should look for? I already read most of the stickies, as so i dont annoy anyone with dumb noob questions lol..

welcome my friend but with a trany rebuild needed and exterior damage you should at least got it for 10.5k the 13k could get you a good used one but just take your time and sort out the issues I am sure its worth it!

 

U really think its the trans? Im gettin the body work done cheap by a professional friend..

Im honestly not convinced its the trans.. But as stated.. Ima start with the linkage an work my way down
