Need help Deciding

I've been in the market looking to purchase and Evo but I hear they have bad reliability issues. My friend says the car is set up like a FWD car converted to an AWD car. The STI is a true awd car and has all the same size axles that rarely break. What are your guys problems with your cars?

Is your friend an idiot? One of those self proclaimed I know everything about cars people? First, I'll tell you the obvious, the search option is your friend, it will give you any info you are looking for. Second, I used to have an 07 STi and I've had 3 seperate Evo's, from factory, none of them have reliability issues, just take care of your car, most people who screw **** up don't do proper maint. Third, if you plan to mod, the Evo is more reliable then the STi, the STi has known issues that cost more money to overcome, along with the STi being more money to mod anyway. The ONLY real advantage in my eyes for the STi is its interior. Then again, if anything is built right, you wont have issues.

As for my advice to you, the friend of yours, I sure as hell wouldn't listen to any advice he's got concerning these cars.

Haha never listen to your friends when it comes to car suggestions, they all have their ideas and most are wrong. Especially this friend.
