Finally i made it!! DSMer probable future evo owner.
Hi everyone,
My name is Aaron i am currently a DSM owner (#7) and a big DIY type of guy. It looks like the natural turn is to end up with evo's and I'm sure one day I will.
Also it looks like a lot of the national technical posts have come here and well here I am. I have actually been here for a couple of years but my account was never validated.
I currently drive a '91 eagle talon tsi awd automatic.

If you don't care to click, short story got the car for cheap, got it running for fairly cheap, put some money in to go quickly and ended up with:
340whp on a 28psi spike settling to 23psi
and once it could hold 30psi solid I ran a 11.52@119 followed with a 11.45@119.
My goal is to have a true fun street/strip car, now being a dsm I have accepted it won't turn too well, but I plan on keeping PS and A/C.
I want to have a powerband that starts at about 4k-4500rpms and goes for a long as it can, preferably 8000rpms.
Hopefully I can learn some things here and maybe offer up some advice where I can.

Welcome, my friend. I have had two Talons and this is my second EVO. My first Talon was a moderate build. My second Talon was running E85 with the GT3076r turbo. My first EVO great with the stock VIII turbo. Now I am running the MAP EF3. It is night and day from the DSM to the EVO as you will soon find out.

I should of been more clear, it is a MAP EF1 made to fit on a DSM.
It uses a 16G turbine housing, mine uses my old evo 3 16G turbine housing and even in that baby dick 7cm housing its flowing amazing.
Any numbers/dyno graphs I post should be outdone by any evo by a ton.
Hoping to get more track numbers out of one on a MAP employees car this weekend, he has the same setup I do, but good motor, cams and suspension and a bit more weight pulled out.
