Please allow me to introduce myself

Well I'm a man of wealth and taste.

as proof positive, my latest and greatest acquisition, an 06 evo 9. So far I'm beyond obsessed, and probably should dial it back a little bit. But then again, maybe not.

I've done a little research on this car, and it's already been modded out pretty nicely. I have a few ideas for future mods that I'm sure I'll want/need. At the moment the number one priority is swapping out this half battery for a full that I guess I'll pop in the trunk. I've been doing some research about it, And i guess there's not an awful lot of opposition to the small batt, but there is a pretty significant stereo system in here and I like my music loud. So at night it comes down to do I want to be able to see where i'm going?

I'm a noob to this so if I act or say something stupid just let me know, I can take it as well as I can dish it out.

peace
zig

Welcome to the forums, it sounds like you definitely need a full size battery. We are in MN and even with out the stereo system the cold prevents us from running small batteries as they simply won't start our cars

yeah, I'm in philly probably not quite as cold as mn, but definitely gets chilly. I can't imagine there are any serious drawbacks to mounting the batt in the trunk? it seems like the most popular choice, excluding the small battery which seems to be popular for sale online.

either way, I'm sure I'll be dealing with rough cold starts over the next month or so.
