Well i just wanted to say hello to everyone! i am a newbie to this site...just trying to get used to it...lots of neat things in this website!! Anyways..i know theres alot of these type of questions so ill make it direct as possible...i drive a 2003 lancer oz rally...i bought new rims for the car! they are 17 x 7.5...and i found tires that are a good deal.. they are dunlop 205/40r17...will those tires work well for my car? should i get them? Thanks for any help that comes!

yes, those tires are perfect. you could either go with 215/40/17, 205/45/17, 215/45/17, or the 205/40/17's u have. if u have any other rim/wheel question, feel free to read the sticky on top of the suspension forum.. it has all the info you need.. now go snap some pics of those rims!

 

You'd probably be a little happier with a 215/40/17 seeing how wide your rims are (7.5), but if the sweet deal is only on 205/40/17 they should work just fine too.

 

whats the diffrence on 215 and 205? will my rubber look too thin?
