Hi all My name is Justin. I have just purchased and evo 8 2005. The guy i got it from said it had an evo 9 turbo on it and gave me the "stock" turbo with the car what size are these? whats the difference in the two? thanks

 

In the wrong portion of the forum i believe lol. From my reading the evo 9 turbo has a slightly larger housing and therefore can flow more cubic foot meters of air than an evo 8 turbo. Partially why the evo 9 makes a little more power in stock form, but the variable valve timing (called mivec, basically mitsu's vtec) also contributes to that. Pics of said evo?

 

What all will fit between an evo 8 and a say 99 gsx? i have a 2.3 stroker ready for it and bad a exhaust all that and dont know whether to sell or use it on evo? thanks

 

the 2.3 will work. as for the exhaust im not sure
