^ This is NOT a good thread since multiple "what oil is best" threads exist on this forum. Do a 10 second search.

I received a coupon for Valvoline VR-1 in the mail and ever since I tried it, I won't use anything else. I was on the Mobil 1 bandwagon but this seems to last longer and not break down as hard as Mobil 1. I've read Brad Penn and AMSoil being the best, but I look for ease of availability and can get mine at any Autozone.

I think all you people running Mobil 1 should read this: http://store.forcedperformance.net/m...otor%20Oil.pdf

^^^ That is comming from a very well known source, I'm sure EVERYONE here knows of the FP turbos.

So I've been doing a little research on what oil to use, and have seen alot of bad reviews on Royal Purple, very little positive things about it. Crazy thing is that ive used rp since I got my car and haven't really noticed anything out of the ordinary. But I still want to take that big step and ditch rp. My question is...do I need to start a process before I switch from rp to AMsoil?

You could do and engine flush, but it is not required.
