Question frame damage?

i was just wondering if using a car jack for teh car will cause frame damage.. wait i mean chassis

technically it shouldnt. there are jack spots/points/areas under your car. although sometimes you might get a slight bend here and there. like using an oversized jack. nothing major, just be careful and make sure everything is secured properly.

It won't damage the frame, that's where the jack is supposed to go. I've jacked my car up at least 3 times a month for the last 1 1/2 years and I have no problems, other than that sound deadening crap getting smudged off

Now if you try to jack it up on something other than those jack rails or the frame, you will damage your floor pan!

I jacked on the 2" beams that are a little way in.. those started to collapse.. so those aren't the best.. but the little side rails where you are supposed to put the "spare jack" are the best points to jack. Just do it betwen the little notches as that is a frame joining point. Use that or the front or rear jacking point.
