salvaged title evo.....good buy?

So i know the problems with salvaged titles and im just wondering whats a good price for this one. the guy is selling a graphite grey 06 MR. with about 41k miles. says the car was side swiped so had to replace the bumper, one fender side, and the passanger door. says there was no frame damage and no damage mechanically, all body. Of course i would take it to a shop first to make sure it is good. and I am not worried about resale value, plannin on keeping the car for a while. with the info i have given what would be a good price? He is askin about $17k???

I think your good, does he have any paperwork from the accident? check the carfax? drive it and see if she vibrates or pulls hard to one side...check it all around but thats not a bad deal at all

this. make sure a 12 year old didn't fix the car, it is a blood bath trying to get someone to buy it because you can't finance it.

$17k too high for a salvage title. I wouldn't pay more than $14k if the car is in perfect shape and has been kept up on all maintenance

edit: $14k in this case, 2006 MR with 41k miles on it. non-mr or 2003-2005 i'd pay even less
