Evo 8 or 9 for some offroading
Hello, new to the forums but have been searching/reading for awhile. I have been searching for an Evo to purchase but came across a minor question (I used the search function but couldn't really find an answer to it.)
Would an Evo 8 or 9 be best for some fun on dirt roads? Or is the difference mostly in the SE vs MR/RS due to the suspension? I live in a small town in North Dakota and a lot of my driving is surpisingly on dirt roads so just curious.

I know of an evo 8 that is missing a few parts that were stolen off the car. Seats, intercooler, wing and trunk ect. But for 7k you could put it together with parts off here and not feel bad rallying the **** out of it. I dont drive mine up here but judging by some of the oilfield roads ive been on an evo would get beat up body wise pretty quickly.
I honestly would buy a cheap one, maybe with a salvage/rebuilt title for rallying. Rallying a clean MR or SE (not that its not made for it) would just be terrible IMO

New Town aye? 30mins North of you around Stanley. Lol
And the car wouldnt be for rallying. I would prefer a clean steet car but just wouldnt push it too hard and would keep it stock height. I avoid the back roads and oil roads when i can but with farm work, im usually the guy running parts to the field or moving the workers around and i dont always have time to grab a truck after school and such.
