new to the evo game

new to the evo game

just bought a evo 8 about a week ago.....have put a couple mods on since i bought it such a carbon fiber hood came with walbro 255 and turbo back megan 3 inch exhaust i just recently put on a evo 9 turbo and 3.5 inch bigger intercooler and intercooler piping also has intake and i put a aem wideband and aem tru boost also putting in head studs waiting for the weekend to get a tune......any advice will be help full thanks

Don't drive it hard without a tune.

Peace of mind, won't have to do it later. I did head studs and I'm still stock.

I'm doing head studs because it was recommended by the mechanic working on my car now but I'm doing cams soon and I'm tunning today I love down in Miami so I don't know many places that tune evos but I heard this guy is really good from a lot of people

What's the best transfer case oil I can use if I want to launch my evo at the track every now and then and differential oil also right now the mechanics put royal purple in it just after I got the car

I use AMSoil in all my drivetrain (Severe Gear 75w-90 for TC). I don't really recommend launching your car at all though. If you do, be ready to replace a lot of expensive parts.

What clutch is in the car, any idea?

Right now I'm using a stock clutch Im debating what clutch to buy.they told me evos where made for races off the dig all wheel drive = great launch car... What would I have to replace in order to launch my car with out breaking anything

Idk I'm new to the evo world they have been my favriote car but never really researched it I heard there tc aren't to go and blow a lot of the time if they aren't well takin care of

You can launch all you want, just be ready for big expenses.

Built trans, transfer case, rear diff and a twin disk clutch. I'm not saying it will break the first time, but it will break.

Miami, FL, 33176 305-256-1779 Gregory (the owner) is a great tuner and mechanic. He'll get it fast and safe for you... he is the only person outside of myself that I would allow to touch my Evo X.
