just picked up my new EVO MR 6 speed. dang what a nice car. i just wish i would have looked harder at all the broken things it has... kid that owned it didn't take care of it. plus openly admitted to not ever opening the hood....

 

Welcome to the forums! And congrats on the purchase! Don't let it scare you bud, EVO's need maitenance and that's just part of owning this car. Keep it up and she'll run forever! What can you tell us about the car? Mileage? Minor and major problems?

 

Welcome! I wouldn't worry too much about the repairs. It will allow you to get to know your vehicle better, and have a little more piece of mind.

Esko is just south of duluth. small town....

as for the car, its a 06 MR with 55k on er.

problems i have found:
fog light switch doesn't work
two of the three stock gauges don't work
traction type doesn't work
one wheel is toeing bad
control arm bolt is lose and can't tighten it... (makes the car go all over the road)
clunks loud in the rear under hard shifts
loud huming from the rear. not sure if its the rear diff, tires, or wheel bearings
one rear axel boot is torn.
brakes are junk (warped rotors)
and to top it off, it needs the 60k work done.

and it didn't come with trunk carpet... weird.
