Financing Help
About to graduate from college in about 2 weeks so I've been looking around feverishly for a car
I'll be starting my job in a few weeks ($50k/year after taxes).
Since I'm looking to buy from a private party over a dealer, I need some help finding a credit union or bank that will finance a car more than 7 years old (looking at some 03 VIII's). Chase will only finance 5 year old cars.. while Bank of America will do 7 years.
I'm only going to be able to put about $2K down.. so looking to finance anywhere from $11K-$15K. Am I going to have a hard time finding a financer? I have a credit history of about 4 years, credit score of 750 (could be less now since I recently applied for and got a new credit card -- $5K credit line), and about to turn 22. Rent is going to be about $600/month. Insurance is estimated at $150/month

I'm my case my bank would not finance me under a auto loan as the vehicle in question did not meet there requirements. In this case I opted for a personal loan. It came with a large interest rate but I had planned on paying it off early and did so. My personal loan was for 11k . Hope this helps. I'd give you more numbers but that probably won't help as your factors and location are different.
