Following my Dreams
Following my Dreams
Hey everyone, introducing myself seemed like the thing to do!
Name? Chris aka SpitFire0X00 everywhere on the internet
Location? Pittsburgh PA, the City of Steel, Anyone else around?
Your ride, sir? nothing with 4 wheels currently, just a CBR 600F4i
Why you showing your face 'round these parts?
Well im 21 years old and looking to pursue my age old dream from 2005 of owning an Evo. My father was in the High-end vehicle relocation business so i've been around a shop and nice cars all my life but for this story comes down to one thing; well yea I was 15 and yea hes not supposed to let me drive the cars he gets in but i learned how to convince and rarely did so but there were a few that i just couldn't pass up after looking at them. Namely a ~75ish Bubmble Bee, a Stage 3 Roush Mustang, Ferrari Enzo and Most importantly a Evo VIII that ran on Methanol. I met that car and just melted, now i only got to drive it around the parking lot a single lap (~2 football fields) not sure why but it took a hold of me. and ever since it was my dream to own one. My first car ( 97 accord) caught on fire due to a loose wire, the CBR just isn't cuttin it for daily use in a rainy city and now i need a car, so why not get what my dream wants?

best of luck brother. i feel ya honestly... back when i first played gran turismo i fell in love with the evo and in 2005ish when i first saw the IX MR i knew i had to have it. its been a long road and i've have sacrificed probably a lot more then i should have for a car. but she is like my daughter now and i can't imagine life without her. I literally cried when my stereo got stolen. a few weeks before someone smashed the window of my eclipse and jack its stereo and my oakleys and i brushed off the seat, drove to work, and couldnt have cared less.
that sob story being said. don't rush to buy one. Its an evo, pretty abuse the **** out of them and most cars you will find have been poorly maintained. really pay attention to the details when you look to buy one and don't get overwhelmed by your dreams. If you do that you'll find yourself the right car and be completely happy with it 5-10 years from now.
