Are you getting an Evolution?
Do you have a rich uncle or something like that?

Good score.
You must be one smart cookie!
Thx, I think I just got really lucky... I really like my job to boot. I am truly blessed.

ZStryder.. Studying EE in NOVA? What school you going to?? Engineering is a pain in the ***, but stick with it, it'll pay off very well, especially electrical... but then again you guys have to deal with imaginary numbers more, and I'd have to kill myself. remember when you graduate you can do anything that a tech degree can along with what most liberal arts majors can too... even business firms like hiring engineers b/c thery think we work hard.. silly them..

I'm actually studying at UVa now - for engineering it was a toughie choosing between here and Tech, but eh, engineering would be rough anywhere you go. Yeah, I hear about that often, that we get hired over Business/Commerce school majors for stuff from financing to accounting just 'cause we've gone through better "training discipline," whatever that's supposed to mean...

30, but I'll be 31 long before I get an Evo.
I wish I didn't have to pay rent. Rent is high in the Boston area.

THANK YOU SILENCER AND INOGAN!!!!!

I'm 35 looking to get mine the begining of April. I'm a kid at heart but honestly, starting to feel my age with all these young whipper-snappers! I'm at the point where I feel maybe I should be looking at the g35 coupe instead.

No flames please, but it just amazes me how many youngsters can afford this car. And then there is the insurance. I can imagine it must be a nightmare for some one in their young 20s. Can you see the insurance rates going up by the day? The car has been out about a week and there are people getting tickets and flipping these things. Just amazes me.

I'd still like to see what owners think of their purchase after driving it a while.

To all those who get the Evo moocho congrats. For the few old coots who still like to go fast...

Well, like I said I grew up in an area where kids owned very rich and nice cars. You get used to hearing about how this guy and that guy don't deserve their cars yadda yadda since it's only because their family is rich... it becomes a very hard stereotype to get rid of when you're young and still manage to buy a nice car! Insurance will be a pain, but my record is pretty good, I've got a family plan under Geico but I wonder if it'll stay that way? Geico is pretty stingy when it comes to performance cars, so I won't be surprised if I get kicked out, but we'll see. (btw, it's not an umbrella plan)

I'll be 32 (at least I look young) by the time I buy an Evo--luckily I just found out a very good family friend's husband is the sales manager where my parents live. At least I know I'll get a good deal when I buy.

I'm guessing that some of the young guys here parents may have helped them--especially the california people. I mean, my insurance on my Camry is 1800 a year with a clean driving record. I can't imagine being under 25 with an Evo. There's nothing wrong with the parents helping, I just think it sets up unrealistic expectations for the future.

E in LA

BTW, I think most ownerswill fall into the 25 to 35 group.

Hey, just turned 35 myself this past Wednesday!

I bought my first car in 1991 and got in on the ground floor of the DSM craze (any ClubDSM (ex)members here?). Back then, you could buy a new Eclipse/Talon/Laser, loaded for under $20k. Then the 95's came out and the price was upwards of $25k. Everyone complained that *no* young person could afford this car. Now I'm impressed to see the same age group buying a similar car that's upwards of $35k! Congrats to all of you able to do so and still have a social life

28 - married, one kid, one mortgage, two car payments including the Evo. The Evo is my first brand new car (not counting my wife's A4), and the only thing I would have considered instead would've been the GTI R32. But who knows when that will arrive. The Evo causes quite the stir each evening at the daycare
