HP boost--Best bang for the buck
Yea you can. Thats my goal too buddy. I am getting intake, header, exhaust, throttle body, and a new camshaft. That would boost you up pretty well. Quite possibly in that range.
Throttle-10ish
Exhaust+Intake-8ish
Headers-10-20

You'd be lucky if you got those gains at the flywheel if you ask me.
Good luck though.
My advice: Don't believe the boxes. Don't believe the claims. Believe how it feels once it's bolted down and running right.

Well mista, its hard to say depending on the path that u choose to take. The gain of hp depends on the project you choose to do to your car. Turbo, Nos, Bolt ons, they all range in different amounts of gains. Just search around a bit and decide what you think is best for you, then we can help you a little more on guesstamations for performance gains.
So many funny n00b questions. The Lancer will not gain any interesting levels of horsepower without SERIOUS work. I'm talking cam shafts (with stronger valve springs for the higher lift duration, not to mention lifters themselves), a cam gear (properly tuned), higher compression pistons and the other good and fun bolt ons, as well as including some mild fuel tuning. That will of course cost you very serious $. As will a competent and properly tuned turbo setup which is retailing for barely under 4k at low boost and no FMIC, and I'm not including the higher turbo tunes with serious fuel management and upgrades or the install price. The Lancer with basic bolt-on = slow but hey, you did tune it a bit. A high spec NA tune is reasonably fast (in theory) but not as fast as it could be (RMR had to add stronger rods to up the compression (so it seems) on their car which again is $). A turbo Lancer is definitely quick but still, nicely tuned Type R's (hell even a stock one perhaps) could eat you up still (depending on the numbers the turbo is churning out). Many many variable to consider. Making this car fast (without a shiny bottle in your trunk, is an expensive task.

im not even tryin to race really, i just dont want a ***** car. i mean i may on occasion race but mainly im just lookin to be around 160 hp and i dont want to use nos. i have an automatic so i know this limits my options, but can this be done with basic bolt ons an **** or is only way i can reach that mark with turbo?
like i said im sorry bout dumb questions but i gotta start somewhere right? thanx guys

Never in a million years will you get 160 wheel or flywheel HP with the Lancer from bolt ons. I stand by my theory that money and lots of it are the only thing to get the Lancer to move nicely.
