I have been on here for a few months now and have just recently begun to learn the many ways in which this site is helpful. I am definitely new to everything evo. I grew up working on mostly mustangs and other RWD and carb engines so the learning process is a little slow but im moving along. Been to the strip with it once and had a blast. Definitely still learning to launch but i will get there. Anyone else with similar drag experience going from RWD to an AWD turbo who has pointers will be greatly appreciated.

 

I used to have a 240sx and definitely much different when launching then an evo. You have to slip the clutch a lot more otherwise most people will just fall flat on their faces with the launch.

 

Look up JMS racing. They are at the track very often and Jorge is a pro at everything. He can also help you tune and setup.

 

Welcome to the site. You should go to the genghis grill meet on 281 and 1604 and meet up with some fellow Evo owners. It's me in my 9 and usually 5 other evo X guys then after that we head out to lowes off of 35 and o'Connor.
