Hi

Hello, I'm Tim.

I used to have this...

Then this guy showed up...

So now I have this...

Purchased from Pr3z on here.

I bargained with the previous owner for some shinies he had taken off the car (ETS 3.5" FMIC, UICP, LICP, rear sway, ETS intake)... and some more shinies will be coming soon (full exhaust, wider wheels/tires... still debating what exactly).

Right now I'm thinking about exhaust, tune, wheels, and tires. For now it needs to stay "quiet", at least when the wife's around (thinking cutouts). I like the MAP electric baffle exhaust, but I'd rather keep the dual exhaust look. Ideas?

Wheels/tires... dark wheels (maybe dark bronze? black? whatever), 9.5" or 10", 275, dunno tire brand - something decent for a newb auto-x'er / summer street tire. The previous owner ran 285s on 18x10 +18mm wheels, rolled rear fenders and rub-clearanced the front. The stock wheels will get winter tires.

Nice car, I'm amazed that you sold your vett...but I guess it was for a good reason haha. You'll have just as much fun with this and prolly do better at AutoX. What is the suspension setup right now? looks to be lowered, springs or coilovers? HKS has a sweet dual exhaust for the Evo X.
Enjoy =)

Thanks! I put a lot of time into the vette, built motor and drivetrain, etc, but being able to have the whole family along for Sunday cruises or to be able to use the fun car to drive to the inlaws a few hours away, etc... makes it that much more useful/enjoyable of a car. It's hard looking at an expensive toy like that sitting in a garage for 6 months of the year.

Good eye, the evo is on swift springs. It also has a comp stage 3 clutch. I'll poke youtube for HKS sound clips. Hoping to hear some locally in person.

um, so yeah, the quad tiC exhaust is the best, but you'd have to get a new rear defuser cause all 4 pipes won't fit the stock defuser. Looks super sick and sounds even better.

Thanks.. I will probably stick with something that lets me stick to the stock diffuser.

Going with Magnaflow modified to 3" where it meets CAT, MAP recirc downpipe +wideband bung, MAP test pipe. I live/work near MAP and it sounds like they're mostly caught up on fab stuff so it shouldn't take too long.

Cool, let me know how it sounds. I'm still trying to figure out which setup I want.

Will do! I couldn't find many similar youtube clips, but it seems like it should do the trick. If not, probably have another muffler or resonator added, dunno.

Thanks!

I put the ETS ic, uicp, licp, and intake in last night. Pretty well laid out car and most everything was perfectly straight forward. Way too many clips in that under-paneling. Definitely hear the air now!
