Hey guys, newbie here looking for some help with my car. Really hoping somebody knows the answer to this problem. Might be the wrong section for this but it said FAQ so its worth a shot.

I've got a Lancer GTS from 08 that has custom modifications. Not sure of all the mods because I bought it used. For some reason, as of about last week, the car has stalled in the rain on more than one occasion. The service engine light would come on and it just stopped running completely. But the morning after, the service engine light was gone and the car ran perfectly normal.

Is this some sort of error with the car or what? I have no idea why it is only happening in the rain or if this is something wrong with a specific part. Kind of new to all the pieces so if someone could explain this to me as best as possible, I'd really appreciate it.

Is there an aftermarket intake? It might be taking on water. That would stall your car and give you a check engine light.

 

yeah especially when theres a CAI installed.
