So i am newbie in evolution world. I am from Europe, english language for me is foreign. For along time i've been thinking about buying evo. Found a pretty decent car for 20k$. 40389 miles. Seller says its 289hp. Don't know if it's stock. How much it would cost to upgrade to 400hp?

 

You sure it's a IX? Other than the front bumper, everything else sayings Evo 8.

Edit: OK, the MIVEC Turbo on the valve cover proved me wrong but I would be asking a lo of questions.

If it all checks out and is clean, IMO I would say $18 max, thats just because i'm sort of cheap. but they are harder and harder to get.

400- prob, exhaust-turboback, turbo(red maybe),injectors,Lower intercooler pipe and air intake. Cams too.

 

Its hard to find a good low mileage evo these days. I also would offer 18k. Just make sure its not a previously wrecked hack job. 400hp is achievable with the stock 9 turbo, you will wanna get some cams, and supporting mods like injectors, pump, i/c and piping, exhaust ect. But just remember anyone can bolt on parts, the magic comes from a good tune.
