I'm hooked, first Evo drive

So I've been lurking around here for years. I've wanted an Evo since I was 16 or 17 and now I have a big boy job so I can afford one.

I took one for a test drive because I wanted to make sure I hadn't just put this car on a pedalstol and didn't want it to me let down. I shared a mazdaspeed6 with my brother through college so I'm not a performance car rookie.

Car was clean and beautiful, seats hugged me like they never wanted to let go, engine purred and it put a smile on my face.

I took it out and mashed it on a stright stretch and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!
It honestly scared me a little bit, I was expecting somethiing but not THAT.

It was everything I ever wanted and more.

I'm guessing anyone who has driven an Evo has had this same feeling and an hour later I am still smiling.

Just hope that the mod bug doesn't bite you too hard. It can get to the point where 750whp doesn't feel "all that fast" LOL

Did you buy it yet?!

I suggest you keep a slow beater. And when you want that goofy smile again jump in the Evo.
I should know, I drive a Corolla!

I didn't buy it yet but I'll have one soon. That one had nice power but it bucked like crazy and the miles were a little high. I thought the bucking was a shift timing issue on my part but it did it every shift and then bucked halfway through 4th gear. Now I'm just waiting for the right one.

And an Evo is faster than a shortbus but the shortbus can hold more STI owners
