it's not that bad, Ive started off with a worse car.

Jason: I just got rid of the 240sx to get this Evo...

 

The car has a salvage title and I've taken on the task of saving it's life... she cleans up well.

For no V-8 RX-7.
Those cars were designed with a very brilliant power to weight and handling. The 2 rotor was perfect for those cars.

The Evo I still need a fender, ACV pump, Headlight, front bumper to be able to drive it...The stock radiator has a pinhole so I'm waiting on that. One of my friends think he has the ACV, Headlights, front bumper and front bumper support. Still no luck on the fender... My dad did the body work to straighten out the sheet metal and current doors...

I already got replacement doors from a local shop and eventually will need a hood to get it all painted... But for now once I get the missing parts I'll drive it wrinkles and all... Ive driven cars in 10x worst condition...

I'm glad you decided to get rid of the 240 over the 7. Everyone and their mother has 240s with just about everything swapped in them..pretty rare to come by a 7..especially one still wankle powered. I have a few friends with FDs that have swapped built LS's in them running a shot & of course they've stripped them so they weigh in around 2900 lbs..so for the most part they can't catch traction for shi*t. I will also agree with you that the renesis is a big pile of poo. By far one of the worst engines Mazda has ever made. Congrats on your purchase, looks like you'll have your hands full for a while. Welcome to the Evo community.
