Question EVO prices going up?

So I haven't been in the EVO scene for quite some time. Sold my 05 WW ssl bout 2 yrs ago.. Built motor and few bolt one for 16400 with 100k miles. Looking for another EVO now is so damn hard.. All those cars prices are so jacked up! 03s going for almost what unsold mine for..stocking too. Did I miss something in last 2 yrs??..looking for a 05 ..prices are high 06 IXs are crazy money. Guess its good for owners..sucks for buyers!

It's getting harder and harder to find clean evos, and the demand is still there so the prices are still pretty high.

You're right..cause many of them are built to race, crashed stolen etc. to find a original stock EVO it's almost impossible.. If u do find it .. It's crazy money. Even slightly modded evos have high prices..many that I have looked at have been listed for at least $1000 or more above its normal value. Plus people think that they will always get all their money invested in the car back. In reality , into doesn't happen often lol

But I'm still on my search.. Just too many silver ones out there :/

Well that seems like a good thing for Us owners at least. i don't know if they are actually going up, but i do see the prices are definetly maintaining. now for some of these guys who own evo 9s and are asking close to $30K HA.. they are definetly out of their minds.

i believe a good condition evo 8 with decent mileage is going from anywhere from $16K to around $20k a 9 should sell for maybe no more then $22k

mind you this all depends on mileage and condition. someone with a 100,000 plus miles asking in the $20k range is nuts.....

That's my point exactly.. I got a somewhat local guy with 03 EVO ssl seats built diff(no receipts) 9 trans with 5 gear grind. 145000 miles asking $12500. Idk bout you guys but to me that's high.

And yea close to $30 k for EVO IX is bonkers!

You just have to be patient. I think most people don't really want to sell but are willing for a high price. When people are actually looking to sell, the prices are closer to reality.

Just be patient! Don't worry, you'll eventually find a gem. Also, keep in mind of owners who kept the car in storage for most of the time and all of a sudden want to trade up for something else. Timing is key...I got lucky as I took advantage of a "Black Friday/Day after Thanksgiving" sale + wad of cash + hard nosed negotiating.

That's a good sign. I've been considering selling mine for the last year, as I'm tempted to work on a new platform. Its really hard to sell the Evo though as it's so versitile.

2003 TB with sunroof. 147k, currently ungoing a 2.3L build. Don't the let mileage scare you, everything on the car is updated. Bushings and whatnot are all done. Again, just some thoughts I've had.
