Just wanted to post a few pics of my newly aquired Evo 8...









My previous car was a 95 Eclipse GS with a fully built 420A. I got it down the track at 14.69@93 mph all motor, which is hauling *** for that motor if you dont know. I must say though, after having this car for only 2 weeks, Im ready to sell everything 2g I own to buy go fast goodies for this car. I am in love.

Whats done so far:
Bigger Intercooler, Hard pipe kit, Tubular exhaust manifold, Evo 9 Hybrid Turbo, 3" Turbo Back, Brian Crower 272 Cams, Boost Controller and Meth Injection kit.

Did a few freeway pulls with my bro in law on his 01 CBR 600 F4I, and depending on Gear/RPM I can just walk away from him. Its at least a high 11 second car as is. I cant wait to make it my own.

 

Nice pick up this Evo has a lot of parts. What kind of wheels are you running? I have never seen them before.

Also interesting username, is it Volvo related?

 

Thanks. They are actually Infinity G35 Wheels. The previous owner had them powdercoated a copper color. I didnt know what they were either, lol. I got the stock Enkeis too. I also got the stock wing but unfortunately the fasteners are broken out of the bottom, rendering it useless as anything but a shelf... Ebay I suppose.

Good Catch on the username too, Its been my username on every forum Ive ever joined since 2005 and is a reference to my first car, a 1989 Volvo 740 Turbo. And if youve ever seen one, you can see where they get brick, lol.

I must say though, I really set myself up for the car scene there. First car, a 2.3L Turbocharged, RWD sedan...I taught many of my friends to respect the Turbo Brick

 

Yea a couple of my friends are Volvo owners so I know a little about them.

Good to know that Infiniti G35 wheels also work on Evos. I think that Acura TL-type s wheels also work. This is because they have the brembo brake package. The fitment would be off but if you really wanted to sport them you could.

 

I actually didnt like the wheels too much when I got the car, but they are starting to grow on me.

I just noticed something today, do all the Evos have automatic instrument cluster lights that turn on with the key?

And what should I do if one of my headlights wont stop aiming. If the adjuster is on 1-4 they will level out, but if I put it on 0 the right headlight will constantly adjust up and down, like it cant calibrate or something.
