Afew questions on my EVO7

Hey guys, I just got a EVO7 in Australia. I have afew questions that I cannot find information on.
My EVO7 is the 2001 GSR jap import verison (Right hand drive/5 speed manual).

Please answer what you can:

1. Is there any common problems with my model that I should watch out for?

2. Being an 11 year old car, what power (HP/KW) can I expect at the wheels?
I plan to get the power checked very very soon, and I'd want to know if it's running as expected.

3. What are the main differences (Performance wise) between the 7, 8 and 9?
I don't need to know the details on looks, just some idea of the cross-compatibility between models and the parts they improved on.

4. (Need to know ASAP/next 3 hours) Where on the firewall can I get leads, cables through to the cabin?
I cannot find any gromits that lead straight into the car to install even a simple boost gauge. Do I need to drill a hole? I really don't want to drill. mainly because 95% of my tools are 1300km's away haha

I found 2 possible enter points. both seem extremely difficult to use.

This one was easy to find, but was very high up. I tried running string through it, hoping it would pop out the other side, but I couldn't get anything.

I found this one (right side) but was extremely hard to push through and I gave up before I broke something. I also didnt know where it popped out (Left side)

someone please help!

As said about the 8 im pretty sure you got a hole in the glovebox on the 9 as well. Not gonna find nearly as much help with 7's as you would 8 or 9s.

2. I believe the 7 is rated at 275hp so at the wheels that means its around 230ish I believe ( dont quote me)

3. Each model just got slightly faster and had more handling features. The 9 has mivec for the engine and active yaw for handling.

7/8/9 share the same shell so wiring loom grommets are all in the same places

280atf

evo 4 up were 280 atf only reason later seemed faster waa more boost 1.2 rather than 0.8 the only evo's with less power were edm evo8 gsr 260
evo4s were the first to have ayc as did evo 5/6 . evo7 was the first to have acd and ayc
