Like was said above, best bang for your buck is going to be a tune regardless of what parts you put on. The car runs rich from the factory, and a tune even with no parts brings the car to life.

I'd add an upper intercooler pipe to the list above, along with a 3 port boost controller. The piping depending which brand you get can be relatively cheap.

pretty generically speaking for most turbo cars

- turbo back exhaust
- intake
- boost controller (manual / electronic )
- fuel pump
- tune

^ will set you off for some great performance mods to get started

the only stuff that makes GOOD power is getting a boost controller, test pipe and a tune. The other parts don't really add that much power for the price. I have the buschur stage 3 stuff and honestly unless you plan to upgrade your turbo most of it isnt necessary.

You won't see power gains with a 3port and uicp If you leave the exhaust and intake stock

Parts-wise, an intake, upper ic pipe, test pipe (or high flow cat if you're emissions conscience), and cat-back. Then, most definitely a 3-port and a tune to put them to work. Most X's I've tuned with those bare minimum parts end up putting down at least 350hp/360tq. Downpipe usually adds another 10, but is usually more expensive when you factor in installation. Intercooler doesn't really add any power (stock one is actually a descent unit), just keeps the charge air cooler, longer while beating on it. And honestly the stock lower pipe is pretty descent for the stock turbo.

I meant that in addition to the list elim0 had, can see how that would be confusing.

All you need is an intake, exhaust and test pipe, and tune. Everything else won't change much.

Oh, in that case, I totally support the suggestion. I mean look at my mods in my sig. It's what I would suggest for stock block, stock head, stock turbo.

What about a COBB AP? You can uninstall that and go back to stock if warranty work is needed.

Could you explain how this is warranty friendly? Honest question, haven't heard of vishnu, and didn't find anything with a quick look through their site. Lotta broken links though

I don't know if this applies on the X as much as the IX but injens intake that replaces almost all the piping including the down pipe is amazingly worthwhile at about a true 18 whp more. Hen if course full exhaust with either high flow cat or cat delete.
