My first Evo that I have wanted since 2003.

So recently I have been back in the market looking for an Evo. I just fell in love with the looks and power it made back in 2003. I was in High School then and never had enough money. Got out of College and with student loans and a stupid gf who didn't like it I never got one. Well we broke up (best move ever) and I started looking again.

I knew I wanted a low mileage 03-05 evo that had to be bone stock. I didn't want someone else's hassles or mistakes. I had found one that was blue an 03 with 11k miles but it had been in two wrecks before. I ended up passing on it. I continued on my search and on ebay I had seen one but the asking was higher then I wanted. 03 bby evo 8 bone stock. Only 10970 miles. I messaged the guy and he wouldn't come down at first. A month later he came down to 22k. The kicker was he was driving to within 45 minutes of my house to pick up his 2012 evo x. We met at the dealership and he drove it 700 miles. The thing looked spotless with very few bugs even.

Needless to say im now the proud owner of it and it only has 11927 as its put away for winter. I got Shifter base bushings, shifter bushings, maf adaptor and intake, shorty anntenna, new radiator supports and will be getting more in the future. Thanks for all the great threads and how to's on here. I hope to be able to do one also for someone.

Thanks everyone. I love my evo and definitely LOVE BOOST

Take your time. Find the car you want. They are out there its just hard finding them. I spent over 2 months checking ebay, autotrader, cars, aol cars, yahoo cars, everywhere. Bone stock is harder to find also but it can be done. If you need any help let me know and ill help you.

I paid a similar price for my low mileage 03 bby evo 8. Good story with a happy ending.

Congrats. That doesn't look bone stock though, it has an aftermarket intake.

There have been quite a few BBY Evo VIII's floating around with VERY low miles... I remember one on autotrader with about 8K on it... it was being sold by a private party and then I think it was traded to a dealership and sold... Then i saw another BBY one with 11k sold... Usually the low mileage ones are rally red...

You bid your time, was patient and picked up a gem... good search, good find! Congrats!

Stock engine pic when I got it and mileage. On the title it states 11560 cause he drove it from Virginia all the way to Ohio since he was getting a Evo X 45 minutes from my house so I barely had to drive to get it haha. Definitely thank you MCPUNK. I waited and waited looking for the gem. I figured you don't see to many of the bby and I was looking for an 04 but with low miles those are rare as he**

Indeed patience does pay off... congrats on a great find. It took me 2.5 to find my IX in white... It pays to be diligent and a little bit of a perfectionist.
