Hi all Newbie post and help needed...
Hi all.. my first post here so be gentle.
I drive a MK2 Golf that you may have seen blasting around some of the many track day.. but i'm not here to talk about that.
My friend has just recently bought an Evo 8 FQ 300 in bright yellow. But now the paint has started falling off!
On the passengers doors a peice of the colour coat has just fallen off, leaving primer. And all around th rest of the car you can see through the yellow colour coat and see the primer!
The dealer is refusing to admit responsibility and giving them the run around. They are also going to charge £700 oer panel to re-spray it.. and thats the only way they can keep the quarentee on the car!
They've spoken to Mitsi UK customer care and told them the problem.
Can any of you guys offer any help?

I can't offer much help, but if the dealer is not going to take responsibility for the paint, then they are probably not going to take responsibility for any other guarantee on the car. To deny a warranty based on a paint job done somewhere else is insane. I would take your business elsewhere. What's the law on this over there?
