hey guys! so yesterday a friend of mine just bought an evo 9 with 6,000 miles on it and loads of badass parts such as 3in ams IC piping, ams v1 intake manifold, greddy 80mm titanium v-band catback, a 72mm turbo, aem ems v1, and some other crap all for a grand total of $9,000....
anyways he's trying to sell me the AMS piping and the exhaust. the ams piping is 3in short route ( will require a bit of bumper cutting ) and it comes with an AIT sensor and a Tial BOV. but he wants $600 for it... should i jump on it? I like the look of the piping pokeing outta the bumper and it will make me go speed density, but im feeling like it be may too much cash for some piping. and he wants $850 for the exhaust. i like the catback alot! but i will need to weld of a v-band flange or find a v-back downpipe that will fit my evo 9 turbo...

anyways! is the piping + tial bov worth 600$ and is the exhaust worth 850$
and his cheap *** will not budge what so ever..

 

What an awesome friend. You can get a new exhaust for that much.

 

You can get new piping for less then 600. How did your friend only pay 9k on a car that only has 6k miles? Its atleast worth 27k. Plus the mods probably puts it near 30 possibly. Friend definitely trying to make you over pay.

 

Someone list a full piping set, buschur short route with tial bov, lower pipe and intake pipe for 595 in classifieds..

 

AMS 3 inch pipes are huge and made for a very high hp setup. Don't put them on you stock turbo.

Also, this story does not make any sense. There is no way your "friend" bought an evo that you just described for $9,000. It just doesnt make any sense whatsoever.

 

i was the one that told him that it was for sale for $9,000. it has a chipped piston, no wheels, and stripped interior. its been down since 07' and dynoed at a little over 850awhp.. has 6k miles on it and a straight body. im serious that he bought this thing for 9 grand lol
