So its 11pm at night im in my house and i hear some ricer exhaust outside of my house idling and i go look and what look like a civic was sitting next to my evo on the street and i see my alarm lights flash once so i run out there and the people were gone by the time i got out there so i looked at the car and it looks as if they didnt do anything but idk what would have made the alarm lights flash once? should i be concerned?

 

Be on a watch! Cant trust people

Well, on the plus side, its a manual. So this will prevent 90% of the American population from stealing your car. On the negative side, you live in Illinois, so guns aren't really an option.

Buy yourself a big sturdy wheel lock and bolt your car to the ground.

 

Only in Rockford I live in Rockford too and actually had something very similar to this happen to me a few years ago when I first got my Evo. It was sitting in the driveway one night and a Subby pulled in behind my car revved his engine a few times and then just drove off

IDK if I'd worry too much about it. It's probably just stupid Rockford ricers being.. Well... Stupid Rockford ricers!!

 

Even though it is just Rockford... it's close enough to Chicago for me to confidently say your car will be gone by morning. Start searching for a replacement.

 

So i just drove it around for a few hours still very confused what happened i notified the police but i dont think they really give a **** anyway.

 

I would be freaking out if I were you. This is why my car stays where nobody knows where it is except me and a handful of people that also keep their cars in this spot. I would keep a look out. Some people are just stupid, probably knew you were around and wanted to seem "cool". I don't know to much about the area you live in, but needless to say you can't be careful anywhere now a days.

Yea, being up in the surrounding Chicago area id be worried. Id keep watch for a few weeks.
