From Gen to Evo X

Hey guys former 2.0T Genesis Coupe and moderator user name Mira2White from GenCoupe.com. Here is the old build thread I had made on there http://www.gencoupe.com/2-0t-discuss...-2-builds.html I have owned 2 of them over the past 4 years and have now made the great switch to the dark side of 2012 Evo X!!!!!

I have made great progress with my Genesis but really was sick of having the up keep on two vehicles and living in WV I had to have an AWD. It seemed to me the only option was the Evo X. AWD and great out of the box power plus the best part from what I have been reading is that it does not take much to get 350WHP in these bad boys.

Hope to offer some great info and learn much about this platform as I did the GenCoupe. On the side I love taking photos of cars but mainly in the tuner scene and stanced area. I am no professional lol but try to just grab a few shots when I can.

Here are a few pics over the old coupes and the new X. White coupe is the lastest I owned and the blue was the first one I bought.

All shot with the Nikon D5100 and processed with light room.

Nothing but Iphone pics for the Evo as of now

Have a good day and if anyone has any input for me on what is the overall best 350WHP setup please let me know. I will be off to try and find out myself but anyone with real proven results would be greatly appreciated!

Congratulations. I also post on GenCoupe, but not that often. You won't regret the switch, if you value performance at all. You'll lose the appeal of a coupe, but the Evo is still pretty cool while having much more performance and the utility of a sedan.

I have to agree the Genesis was much more photo friendly but I would not go back to the Coupe. This car has the best of everything fairly fast stock, AWD, and still looks beautiful.

Thanks and yes it feels so great to finally have a turbo that does not choke out after 4800RMPS.

Thanks......I have made up my mind and anyone feel free to chime in if I am wrong. 350 should be attained easy by ETS TBE with open dump,ETS Intake,ETS FMIC with all hard pipes and Cobb 3 Port Boost seleniod. Planning on getting tuned by either Moore Automotive or TurboXS both seem to be great and fairly close to where I live.

Awesome car, we need to get some mods on it One of our employee's just picked up a Gen Coupe 2.0T Spec-R. It's a pretty nice car. We plan on doing full bolt on's and turbo kit for it.

Congrats on the EVO man! My buddy bought a brand new X about 7 months ago. He slowly started to mod it. His mods are basic. ETS Downpipe/Dump, Boostin Performance test pipe, ETS V2 Catback, ETS Intake, and a Tune from Devin @ Boostin Performance and it put down 351WHP/380TQ on 93 octane. Car pulls very well for the amount of mods. Didnt take much to get the car there. And this is all on the stock clutch too

Hey guys just checking back in and wanted to tell ya I ordered FMIC with all hard pipe, Intake, Full Turbo Back Exhaust, and Grimmspeed 3 port EBC from Turbo XS yesterday should be here mid next week. Going to install everything next weekend and then head to Atlantic Motorsports in MD near Turbo Xs for custom dyno Open Source tune. Anyone have any suggestions for me on anything before getting tuned or installing these new goodies. I know I need to wait for the 3 port until I get up there since you have to retune to be able to use it.

Thanks
Chad

I will leave this hear

One thing I remember seeing. Is its a common problem melting the firewall with a bigger turbo. Does the one you ordered have a better heat shield? Other wise looks like a nice build.

Yea they do not make much power stock at all but there are a few guys making good power with them. I made 335 on upgraded stock turbo and this guy here one of my close friends is making amazing juice! http://www.gencoupe.com/2-0t-discuss...ld-thread.html
