03 evo 8

so im new to this evo thing, im buying one this weekend and really excited. there minor things that have to be done to it, one of the things I don't like is the "waste gate dump" I really don't like the sound when the car is in full boost, how do I get rid of this and what parts do I need ?

You can leave it on and get someone to weld the dump back into the exhaust

if you have stock turbo you need stock 02 housing if you run aftermarket turbo externally gated, then you can't change anything.

Agreed you can just buy a stock o2 housing, but you're going to loose a little power. It would be worth it for you to just buy a Megan o2 hosing makes more power over stock and you can pick them up for around a 100 bucks new http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...?productid=737
Luckily for you it's been changed to an o2 dump already so if u switch back to a regular o2 housing it might not be that hard getting the bolts out, one can only hope lol

if you have external wastage there's nothing you can do except change the turbo but why go against?

He could have a shop route the dump tube back into the exhaust as stated above.

First off OP what Turbo is on your car. Is it a stock frame or do you have a full aftermarket turbo kit?

Again, what turbo is on the car? If a stock frame you can get any recirc o2 non-dump housing. If externally gated you will need more parts.

Why would you want to get a different o2 dump. You are going to make less horse power with it. And make sure you get a good build history of it. Buying a built car is always a risk. if you have any questions pm me.
