Loosing traction when wet... Very bad idea?

It's been raining hard for the past week and there's been times I stomped on the gas on a turn and car went sideways... Sort of Like a drift. Then I tried to stear out of it and it was harder than I expected to get it straight lol.
So my main question is, what do you think about doing this in the rain? I've seen a bunch of videos of evo's "drifting", makes me feel like a baby mine

Do nots

slide and hit anything or anyone
Don't spin out (you will look like a dork)
Don't cause a crash or loose control
Don't expect good tire life
Don't Clutch kick it if you want it to last
Don't do it in front of the cops Its 28 days in-pound and 6 month loss of licence over here

I do it in mine all the time kills the tires tho

Seems like a bad idea to me. In a controlled environment I'd say go for it but on the road you could end up hurting yourself or worse someone else!

What about the car? The drivetrain? AWD system?

Don't.

Our insurance is where it is in some small part due to people doing things like this.

"Hey it's an AWD car, I can do anything! Yeah this is fuuuoo-----" *squish*

Trying to drift/slide in a AWD is totaly different from doing it in a RWD car. You have to have more power and inertia when sliding an AWD car. So if you loose it, its gonna cost you big time.

Look how easy it is to drift the BRZ\FRS. They put on the tires from the prius and they have 200hp and 151tq.

Please don't put yourself and others around you at risk by doing such things on public roads.

On a closed course, well, do whatever you want, but when stuff starts to break, you'll know why...

Yea I understand I not do this in public but my main point is what strains the most on the car when doing this? (In rain)
