Hey guys My name is Alan. I just picked up a 2013 lancer from the dealership I work at. So far I love the car and gas mileage getting about 31 mpg highway. This is my first car and import at that I've always driven 4X4 trucks and jeeps however now that I'm out of the boondocks and living in the city it was time to make a financially decision and here we are. Love the car and looking forward to chatting with all you guys. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions. Don't worry I'm familiar with search function so will keep them to a minimal

 

I don't see how you guys with lancers not evos consider your car an import. You put bone stock not for long as your sig. WHY WOULD YOU MODIFY A LANCER!!! Just buy an Evo and don't waste your money in upgrading a lancer. If you can't afford it save up. Not trying to rain on your parade but welcome to the forums lol

If you're looking into modding the lancer please at least tell me a manual lol.

Stay simple cause the mods arent really gonna add up to be much.
Headers, exhaust, CAI and call it a day.

 

Why be a douche? Any who because I sell them and got a hell of a deal I can piece together a turbo kit for my lancer for around 3K add that the total cost of my lancer with tt&l plus financing would only come out to 22-23,000$ for a fun to drive civic Si smoking Lancer versus a 30,000$ albeit a bad *** EVO and a $500 a month plus insurance for me a 21 year old male no thanks. Maybe you should put some thought into your post and try to not be so rude keep your worthless comments to your self thanks have a good one.

Still a lancer. Waste to build on a lancer and make it a Evo wannabe. I was 21 when I got my Evo and I didn't pay close to $500 a month and insurance was only $80 a month. Why not keep it stock and trade that sucker in sometime in the future

Good luck with that. Mitsu cars plummet in value. Unless the OP pays extra each month to the priniciple, he will never get out from under the payments. So if he sells or trades in, he will probably have negative equity. If he didn't want to take on the payments to an Evo, I doubt he will want to take on the payments to an Evo plus negative equity to the lancer.

 

Like I don't understand the problem with modding a lancer? for one if I was to buy a $30000 dollar car it would not be an Evo. I mean I understand it's not AWD but honestly who gives a BLEEP if I want to turbo my lancer I will this is America I do believe. Also I never said I would just I could and still be way 7k under the msrp of a evo with the turbo and total cost of my lancer and have a civic si smoking Lancer. The Evo is my first AWD car I have ever owned. And I love it. I really don't know if I could get another car without AWD.

Also you could have bought a used Evo and been $7k under the Evo MSRP. I know the dealership I bought my second evo at, sold my first Evo for under $30k. It was a 2012 with 8k miles and never modded or abused.

Also keep in mind that although this forum is for all lancer models, I think it is primarily used as an Evo forum. So you will get a certain level of bias to an Evo over the other Lancer models.

 

True I could of bought a used one but that's Exactly what it would be a used 290 HP beast but Buying a car like that used no thank you unless I knew PO.
