I got my dream car!!!
I got my dream car!!!
Hey guys! I've been registered here for awhile now but haven't made any posts because I didn't have an EVO. I finally got the car that I've always wanted! It is a 2014 Phantom Black GSR with Sound package and Xenon headlamps! I only been driving stick for about 6 months so Im not the greatest manual driver so Im still learning and adapting to the evo (I'm only 19! And no, daddy and mommy didn't pay for it! I put down the down payment and will be making the monthly payments!). I did burn the clutch a little when backing out on a steep hill! Hopefully that didn't damage anything
Anyways, here is a pic of the car when I went to go pick it up!

I am taking it easy on the car since it is new. I heard it is not a good idea to rev past 5k rpms when you havent broken in your engine so im going to baby it for now!

So excited to join the evo x club

wow..you're 19 and you already have your dream car! i'm happy for you man!
i bought my 2004 Ralliart when i was 22 and it's a step closer to my DREAM CAR which is the EVO!
i'm leaning towards grabbing an EVO-VIII or EVO-IX as i like the old-school EVO look.
i've been obsessed with EVOs ever since i was a kid and one day i will drive one!
my grandfather has a 1989 Lancer Mirage that he bought the same year i was born lol.
it runs in the family!
enjoy your new ride bro! take lots of pics and cherish each and every moment.
cheers and congratz again!
PS: if you want to avoid burning the clutch/over-revving when you're trying to get it to catch a gear, just make sure you don't gas until you can FEEL the clutch grabbing. that's the trick to it. getting used to that feeling is bliss. trust me bro. more clutch, less gas. don't rev too much. it's all about balance

thanks guys and yeah i'm getting used to the car more as i drive it. still practicing my rev matches and stuff. anyways, does anyone know where the aux jack is? i've checked everywhere and read the manuals. Even the dealer didn't know..
Congrats on getting your dream car! Evo's have always been a "realistic" dream car for me, so I can relate to you. I wish I could have thought about getting one sooner, but I am just now looking to get into one. Good luck with your car!

I bet anything Mommy and/or Daddy are making the insurance payments. And you are probably under their policy? Which will still be a lot. Yeah you put the down payment and will make the monthly payments with the financing. Hopefully you have a well paying, stable job. . .or Mommy and/or Daddy will be stuck with the bill won't they(co-signed I assume)?
Congrats on your dream car. I'm in my 30's and the Evo is not my dream car but it's pretty damn close (Dream car--imported RB 26DETT Skyline GTR), and definitely the best car I've ever own. I will never get rid of her. You may be an exception and be one of those self driven, responsible 19 year olds, but time will tell.

Sure it doesn't matter where the money comes from--His hard earned cash, sugar mommy/daddy, robbing a bank, whatever. Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings.
. . .Instead, let me blow sunshine up your *** and tell you how awesome the buy was and how this brand new evo and 19 year old owner will live happily ever after
. Happy modding, car show events, racing, or whatever plans you have with the car. Interesting where this car will be in three years. I'm sure I'll be proven wrong. . .
