welcome-ish being that you didnt buy the car yet lol. super cheap evo man hopefully all is in good order. remember theres more to a car than a motor to replace. check up on the trans, its gonna be notchy with that kinda mileage, take some hard turns and see how she holds. also check for vibrations on the highway. ask for maintenance records also. im not gonna say its a good buy but im also not gonna say it isnt. if theres one thing i learned in this world is you get what you pay for, evos even with that mileage still sell for 16-17k with an owner that took good care of it. are you planning on daily driving? good luck with the sale tommorow and post some pics and let us know how she is when you get her!

i got on it pretty hard and it felt good, trans felt pretty good with the aftermarket clutch...i couldnt corner due to it still raining outside but i got up to 60 and cruised for a little didnt feel anything out of the ordinary, he just replaced wheel bearings and cv axles so that could be why there was no vibrations

Just use your best judgment. Also there are tons of threads that cover buying evos that you can search for. Either way, welcome to the family.

thats not good, just hooked up boost gauge and its only reading 10 psi, cold starts at -20 then starts to idle at -15, never seen it go over 10 psi though...could it be the gauge? It has 3 wires (im assuming for lights) that are not hooked up just the vacuum line is hooked up...could it be the wires? or do you think its the car?

Probably the vacuum line you're using. How do you have it connected/Where to?

Here is a pic of where it is connected under the hood, please let me know if you need to see where all the joints are and how they are connected, and at the very end from inside the car to the gauge he used what looks like some kind of tube that you would use in a fish tank water pump, but anyways here is a pic of under the hood where its connected

Can't see the pic, maybe it's just me.

I'm not saying it's 100% the vacuum line, because there's a lot of other things it could be... This is just a good place to start.
