Looking at new evo
Hey guys,
I just started a new account here and have a question about an Evo. I have been looking at a 2007 Black Mitsubishi Evolution IX with a performance pack. It's stock standard apart from a 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust. It has a 2 patches where it seems bird poo has been left and etched into the paint as well as a scuff on the front bumper and it needs new wheels. The interior isn't too bad apart from some wear on the gear knob and the steering wheel. Its only done 40000kms which is the lowest I have found for its condition. The only problem is hes asking $39,500 for it which I think is way too steep. What do you guys reckon?
Cheers for your help.

Aren't cars in Australia significantly more expensive that their counterparts in the states and Japan? Without knowing what evos typically go for in your area it is hard to say if its a steal or a ripoff.

You're right, evo's are ridiculously priced over here in AUS. Most of them have over 100000kms. I wanted to stay away from the generation 8's and previous since they're grey imports.
When they were new 5 or 6 years ago they were $50k +. Same with the Evo X currently.
No evo 2007's? please explain

Newbies everywhere up in this thread acting like they know what they're talking about. There are indeed 2007 Evo IXs outside the US. Evo IXs that were brought to the US after 06 that should've been labeled as 2007 were identified as a 2006 because they didn't pass new-for-2007 US regulations.
