Just bought an Evo IX - opinions please

I just bought a beautiful IX from a seller out in PA. I think the car rides extremely well and built really well, however, I'm not 100% informed on EVO builds and the best ones out there.

I mainly went for this one because of the low mileage (~30k) and the fact that it was so well maintained with only one owner (I'm number #2), no accidents, and it was garage kept.

Below is the build - please tell me what you think.

HKS timing belt
Ported and Polished head with Titanium values
Fluidampr Harmonic Balancer
Beehive Titanium springs

This thing boogies... Like its so crazy. Yeah, it's still running stock block (rods, pistons, etc...) I think it's running 33psi and 523whp atm.

Lmao yeah I know from experience what it's like to buy my first evo with that much power. Just be careful though. Mine eventually threw a rod.

Sweet build, I'm looking forward to seeing pictures. The only part that I don't love is the HKS twin power ignition module. I ran it for two years and switched to the Spoolin' Up COP, haven't looked back since.

You did? Ouch. I did wonder if this amount of power is too much for stock rods/pistons. Do you think I should consider building it or no? I'd like to stroke the motor to reduce some of the lag.

Hmmm... I'll have to research that, and see if I should make the switch too. I don't have much money to play with right now. I'm more familiar with VWs (I had a turbo MK3 VRT).

This is the kit that's on the car currently:
https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...3cb5c6a81c654d

I was told that the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears were evo 8 gears and the 4th and 5th gears were evo 9 gears. I could be wrong or stating in the reversed order, but I know for sure that there are evo 8 and 9 gears in this tranny.

As for the valves and springs, I really don't know. I'd have to call AMS in MD. They did all the work and they would know. He only went to the one shop.

What do you recommend for oil? I do need to find a place that can change my diff fluids and trans fluids
