Carbon? Interesting

Im not exactly sure if I'm keeping the gold hood but I would like to see how it looks before I spend the money on a carbon one. I will send pics of everything as they come in. I'm also looking for a twin disc if anyone knows anyone selling one.
Are you going to color match or do a green/carbon color combo instead of the green/yellow. I love the idea of satin/matte wheels. I plastidipped my mr bbs wheels in matte black and love them. As for twin disk, they are up for sale all the time in the used parts section. All you will need to order typically are rebuild kit disks/plates. I think I saw an AMS with a hydraulic TOB yesterday up for sale but I may be mistaken. Anyway update when you get the stuff and you will have a bunch of people waiting for more.

Twin Disk For You:

You can get them for around $400 if you want to do a straight rebuild. Otherwise you can probably run this with refaced surfaces and $4-500 in new disks from exedy.

I'm thinking green and carbon color combo. I have an idea of what I want the car to look like, hopefully it looks like what I have in my head. Im debating if its worth buying a used twin as opposed to buying a brand new one. I'm a honda head and they usually costs us no more then $900-$1000 for a twin disc. I'm not sure the price on a brand new evo one.

Much Like the step up in costs from the Evo to the GTR, THe jump from the civic to the evo also exists. So an exedy twin is by far the most commonly used twin probably due to cost vs. comparitive quality and its on the lower end of the price scale for us (Evos). The you get what you pay for seems to not apply as much here. When new the best price I saw for the HD unit with a quick search was $1750 and change or so with shipping. Every once in a while you can find them in the high 1500s (Just saw one around this price on an ebay store). As for replacement disks, I saw $169 so a $400-550 good condition low miles used exedy twin will run you resurfaceing costs (say $200 or so fo the 3 or 4 surfaces necessary but probably less) and ~$340 for the disks. so worst case you are looking at $1050 for a like new unit. Hard to fight that savings. At that cost I would say $14-1500 for a new unit would be my breaking point to decide used vs. new.

As I say this there are many different options out there for twins but the cost only really increases but if thats no object then have at it.

Other Options:
Cusco
Comp Clutch
OS Geiken
Quartermaster
HKS
Spec

ok cool, I only want to make around 600hp with the car so I didnt really want anything too crazy. I saw a pretty good deal on a exedy triple disc, im just waiting on the guy to get back to me. After this event this weekend (fall nationals e-town) I will really start to put this car together. I'm just gathering parts and trying to to decide the best turbo route to go.

The triple is pretty cool but off hand I think it may be a bit more than you need. you may just be paying more upfront and more for a rebuild later for the same effective performance as the twin. I say offhand because I am going from memory so I may be wrong. I was thinking the twin was for the 500-900hp (450-800 ft-lbs) range with the triple from like 800+hp ranges. (I know torque is more important here but often the torque numbers correlate to HP consistantly so talking HP limits is still close to accurate) I may be wrong here but just throwing it out there.

Here is a ridiculously great deal on a twin HD @$1300. now this would definitely be worth this price:

Just got a set of bride seats from one of my boys. He never used the seats just sat in his shop for awhile. I just have to get them cleaned up and I'll put them in.

now that fall nationals is over, I am able to dedicate more time to this project. Here is a vid of my pass over the weekend (honda civic). We were having boost issues all weekend which sucked, but thats racing.
