just make sure to double check they had the timing belts serviced at 60k. My car was modified, and the buyer told me they had those serviced. They did not, which caused the belt to snap at 76k on mine and make valve soup. Other than that this car is leaps beyond better than your STI. I came from a subaru background as well, having a 420whp 2005 legacy gt. Went through 3 subaru motors and 2 transmissions and called it a day.
